xxmelle's Mashed Potatoes

  Flavorful cheesy mashed potatoes, perfect addition to any meal !

Ingredients:

  • 5 - 6 medium potatoes
  • 2 - 3 tablespoons of salted butter
  • 1 teaspoon basil, parsley, oregano, marjoram, chives, garlic powder
  • to taste salt, pepper
  • Milk (cream or milk substitute like cashew milk) added slowly, approximately 1 cup
  • 1 Cup grated parmesan


Steps:
  1. Peel the potato if desired.
  2. Cut the potatoes into quarters for faster cooking.
  3. In a pot, add the potato and cover with cold salted water.
  4. Bring to a boil then cook until fork tender.
  5. Strain the potato, then put it back in the same pot to retain as much heat as possible.
  6. Mash the potato with the butter, then add the spices and the milk, mashing until the desired texture is achieved, adding more milk if necessary.
  7. Add the parmesan and adjust seasoning to taste.
